Lance Lemming's Got Nothing On Me!

Boy, it's been a long time since I've posted a Cyril screencap...hasn't it? :D

Anyways, here's a funny screencap from "Cold Feet". Cyril's plans to meet with Mr. Knox to discuss a deal with the mass pollutant RotCo Corporation hits a huge snag when the pigs crash and destroy his limo trying to avoid another car on a backwoods road at high speed. But fortunately, Cyril wasn't seriously hurt and was rescued by the driver of the other vehicle...who turns out to be Ingrid Bellamour, a noted ex-Hollywood actor. It's love for first sight for the crotchety old aardvark and he immediately abandons his plans to sue her for causing him injuries (like every driver tries to do after being involved in a crash). She offers to give him a ride to his meeting which he is all too eager to take up. Later, while Ingrid is discussing her reasons for visiting the Forest (she became an environmental activist and is VERY much opposed to RotCo and similar pollutant companies of the like) with Ralph and Melissa, Cyril shows up at the Blue Spruce Cafe to meet her. He walked right out of the meeting, and ignores Mr. Knox's protests as he heads off to spend time with her around the Forest. He starts showing off to her (like many guys in love are so often prone to do), much to her amusement, bragging that her Hollywood co-star Lance Lemming could never do half the things he's capable of. We even get a montage of him impressing her set to "Never Even Know What Time It Is", as he shows off and flirts with winning a Darwin Award. Here, Cyril just JUMPED A HUGE CHASM on a motorcycle...but fell off his bike in mid air and face planted on the other side of the gap. But not to worry, as he grins anyways and picks more flowers for Ingrid. Cyril has a hidden romantic side to him...now who would ever seen THAT? :D

Probably one of my favorite episodes from Season 5-Cyril is so funny in this episode! (Then again, he's usually pretty funny...) Really, who would have ever guessed he would be so smooth with the ladies? In my opinion, it's one of the few real stand-outs from the show's last season, which, in my personal opinion, is the weakest season of the show (if you want to know why I think and feel that way, don't be afraid to ask me).

Recently, I asked Ingrid Bellamour's voice actress Theresa Sears about how she earned the role and how it felt like and here's what she said:
"It was, of course, lot of fun with extra magic because 'The Raccoons' managed to deliver socially important content without losing the play and joy of a great toon. Had an excellent agency with a specialty in voice work. I auditioned for the role and it was so charmingly written that voicing it felt like play. It was one of those times when whether you got the part or not was not as important as the chance to get in front of the mic and live through a character. Of course getting to be part of the show put the 'ooh' in toon for me."
