...coming from a canned ham!

Yes, the next episode I've decided to spotlight in screencaps is Season 5's "Moving In", which is probably a favorite episode among many in the Raccoons fandom...same here as well, although I must admit that I'm not entirely fond of the way this episode ultimately changed the show's dynamics in the last season...Anyways, the narrator tells us that whenever a new family moves to the Evergreen Forest, it's reason to celebrate. Sure enough, a new family is on its' way to the Forest, driving in their red Jeep (well, that's what it looks like!) They arrive in their new tree house and begin unpacking. Who is the new family, you might ask?

Why, it's none other than Bentley and Lisa's family! They've just moved to the Evergreen Forest, and at last, after first seeing them two seasons ago, we finally get properly introduced to their parents and learn their names. Their names are George and Nicole, and they've come to the Evergreen Forest due to George being offered a job as the host of a cooking show. Melissa is helping Nicole unroll the carpet, while Ralph is helping his older brother carry a table. George comments that his sacroiliac hurts (that's not something you hear someone say every day...I can't help but be reminded of a moment on Family Guy where Peter Griffin shouts out that his duodenum hurts :D) and that moving in is even more painful than being fired from his job. Ralph teases his older sibling by saying they won't finish setting up the house if they just stand around. Bert then comes waltzing in carrying a box full of fragile material. But...he trips over another box and somersaults over. Ralph "intercepts" the box as Bert flips over and lands upside down in a recliner. He laughs and asks George if he can make a guest appearance on his new TV show, but George reminds him he hasn't even started his new show. His wife (who we find out is obviously a Quebecois raccoon, due to her notable French accent) jokes that there's no room on the show for daredevils. The goofy raccoons says he could introduce "daredeviled eggs" (God, that is such an awful joke), and here, Ralph adds that it sounds about right, seeing as Bert is canned ham! :bleagh:

Ralph's joke here is absolutely horrendous...yet another one to add to his list of absolutely terrible jokes. I doubt too many of you would be laughing at such a joke, but Nicole seems to think it's funny...as we see here, she's giggling away at her brother-in-law's silliness. Well, that's one thing we learn about Nicole...apparently, her sense of humor is every bit as questionable as Ralph's. Guess this family does have too much in common! :D
