It's been quite a while since I've actually posted any stories on here. This has probably been my worst year as a Raccoons writer so far, as I've barely written anything this whole year and haven't really been in the mood to write for much of the year...especially lately. I have a Raccoons one-off story that I'm working on that I've had half finished for well over a month, but I've taken a break from writing it because lately I've just not felt like writing all that much. However, I do plan to get back to it and try to finish it up once October rolls around. I also finished the first of my little short stories focused on capturing little moments in our furry heroes' lives, so there's also that to look forward to. Hopefully you'll have a couple new things to read from me in the near future! Also, since Halloween is coming up, I plan on posting a few Raccoons screencaps from a certain "scary" episode (I'm sure you can guess which one) to mark the occasion...as I've said before, I won't post screencaps regularly anymore, but I will post 'em for special occasions and the like!
Anyways, on to the main topic I wanted to discuss...People of my generation are no doubt very familiar with Pokemon; I'm sure all of you can remember when it was ALL the rage back in the late '90s. I, of course, was no exception! When I was younger, I used to love the hell out of the Pokemon anime and I wound up amassing nearly 20 tapes worth of the old Indigo League episodes. Recently, I was feeling nostalgic and decided to pull them out and watch them again for the first time in years. Although I have to admit I found the anime quite a bit more cheesy as an adult then I did when I was a kid (all the awful puns! ), it was still fun reliving fond childhood memories and I think quite a few of the old episodes hold up well. Anyways, one episode in particular caught my attention..."Primeape Goes Bananas". At the beginning of this particular episode, Ash and his friends stop to eat rice balls...which are referred to, particularly by Brock, as "jelly-filled donuts", which they're obviously not. I didn't know they were rice balls as a kid, but I definitely knew they weren't donuts. Re-watching this as an adult, this just cracked me the hell up; I know they wanted to Americanize the anime to make it more relatable for English-speaking kids, but the fact that the dubbers seriously thought they could pass rice balls off as donuts just makes me laugh! (Wonder how many kids this confused way back when...) So out of sheer curiosity, I went to Youtube and typed in "pokemon jelly filled donuts", as I figured this was exactly the kind of thing somebody would make a hilarious Youtube Poop out of. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed, as I came across...THIS: Brock rapping about his "donuts".
This is seriously one of the greatest things I have ever seen. How the hell does this seriously have under a thousand views?!
When you've got lemons, you make lemonade. When you've got rice...JELLY-FILLED DONUTS!

Another Year, Another Birthday Journal
It always feels like this day creeps up on me out of the blue. It felt like I was just celebrating my 31st birthday...and then a full year passes and now it's my 32nd birthday. (A day early, or maybe not depending on where you live and different time zones, but I kind of wanted to post this now because I have a lot of plans tomorrow.) I find it really funny that when my mother was expecting me, the doctors were projecting me to be born on Easter of that year. Instead I came out a few weeks early on April Fool's Day. (Well, that's babies for you!) And this year my birthday is the day after Easter. It was even funnier a few years back when they actually both fell on the same day! Honestly, how do I feel turning 32? Not much different than I have the past several years. My birthday really did feel a lot more special to me as a child-like it was my own personal private holiday-but somehow as I've grown older it's kind of lost a lot of that luster. It really mostly feels like another day
Entering a New Year of Uncertainty...
Well, it's finally here again. That time where we say goodbye to the previous year and hello to the next one, the days everyone knows as New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. It's funny I say "finally" because really, time passes by way too fast for me these days so it feels like the entire year went by in a flash. As I have said on numerous occasions I wish time would pass slower like it seemed to when I was a child...seriously, I swear time seemed to go about four times slower growing up :D So how did 2023 fair for me? Up and down. It wasn't a very productive year. I did finally get properly started with the first chapter of Baby Steps, but not much more than that. I did want to write more chapters but I just did not really feel in a writing mood that much this year at all. I'm so sorry for those who wanted more :( I did however change one of my main characters' species and attire (Cliff, formerly the Masai giraffe became Cliff the red panda :aww: ), and I also commissioned quite
Get to Know: Cliff Adkins (UPDATED!)
Since I have decided to change Cliff's species, it's obviously in order to update this "Get to Know" journal. As I said before, Cliff is a character who has had a very hard and rough life, maybe the most depressing of any character in my current stories. From being horribly abused as a child, to having a disastrously failed marriage, right up to having attempted to end his own life...He's seen a lot. If some of the details of his life are upsetting, remember you were warned :( NAME: Wallace Clifford Adkins (Cliff, however, does NOT know his actual first name is Wallace, because it's only listed on his birth certificate and records as "W." His own father disliked the name his mother wanted to call him so much that he just wrote it down as "W." and so Cliff has never known his true first name) ANIMAL SPECIES: Red panda (Ailurus fulgens). GENDER: Male. NATIONALITY: American. HOMETOWN: Born in Durango, Colorado, spent most of his early life in Littleton. CURRENT RESIDENCE: Suburban
The Second GoodCaptainClack Q-and-A Spectacular!
Or technically the third, since I tried to do one many years ago that got all of one response and didn't go anywhere. I've kind of wanted to do another one of these for a while but knowing I don't have many fans/friends who would probably want to ask me anything in the first place is always kind of a deterrent :( ^^; But I'd like to try doing one of these again! Feel free to ask me about almost anything, ranging from my stories, characters, my hobbies, interests, personal tastes (like music and the like), and a small handful of personal questions. Just keep in mind I would rather you not ask questions of the following types: -Political/religious questions. There are two things surer to stir up anger and negative emotions in people and that would easily be politics and religion due to how for a large number of people that is extremely deeply entwined with who they are deep down inside. I do not want to get into any kind of debates of that manner or disappoint people there :D

I assume that these have the Viz Video blows up in space and scares kids ident at the start of each of those tapes.
I admit I collected the 11 volumes that Warner Bros. re-released in the UK, the first 10 were available separately, while the 11th was a free video you got with the Mewtwo Returns special. Apart from that and the movies, we didn't get much else as far as Pokémon is concerned on video. Though Contender Home Entertainment did release Pokémon Chronicles on DVD, something which the US still hasn't got a release of...Weird.
Yep, bad dubbing that 4kids all over. I'll bet loads of anime purists celebrated when they went bankrupt, though Pokémon Company still continues with the bad puns I assume.
Oh and one more thing 'Those donuts were great.....NOT'!
